Window in two panels with a landscape consisting of a river valley and the sun and a rainbow above. An image of the chapel below and the words faith, hope and love.

artist: Jane Carpenter

Saron, Crynant, Neath Port Talbot

Window commemorating 120 years since the building of Saron Chapel. It was designed and made in 2023, and dedicated in February 2024.

The artist engaged local schools when gathering ideas for the windows. The window includes decorative art glass for the river, and uses glass fusing and traditional glass painting. Fused glass was used to reduce the amount of lead which would have darkened the window.

The river represented is the Dulais, and references to local industry are included.
