about 1882

Three-light window with standing figures. Scenes below depict Christ in the house of Mary and Martha, Nativity with angels, and Christ meeting Mary Magdalene after the Resurrection.

firm/studio: Clayton & Bell

Church of All Saints, Gresford, Wrexham
south wall of the clerestory (window number: SII)

Given in memory of Mary Warren Egerton 1830-1882.

The window is a rare instance of the differentiation of the biblical characters of Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalene, who are often conflated in biblical imagery.
