1897

Single-light window. Standing figure of Cecilia in the centre of the window, with scenes of the saint in roundels above and below. Above, an angel appears to Cecilia, who is seated, bringing a wreath (of martyrdom?). Below Cecilia is seated with a book open, with another standing figure.

Church of St Tydfil, Merthyr Tydfil
south wall of the nave

Given in memory of Florence James by her mother in July 1897.

Although Cecilia is a popular saint in memorial windows, scenes depicting the saint's life are much more unusual.
